hi, all:
it is time again for an update. i am getting caught up and have acquired fresh, new(old), large items. because of them, whole new redos have emerged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
only the cream-of-the-crop are listed - - - - you will stumble over more at each location:
a couple of cupboards at country roads in orange were replaced with a 6' wide by 90" tall, beadboard back, 2-piece, old general store display cupboard. a long-gone yucaipa store was it's origin. she is white over old kelly green. original wavy glass top sliding doors and 3 solid wood bottom doors. she was adorned by her recent owner with 3 outstanding, pink over green, very detailed corbels to hold the inside shelf. come take a gander, she will steal your heart!
also, check out country roads' website and you will find a pic of another wonderful, one of a kind, midwest cupboard. she is in chippy, white alligator paint. a very unusual, zinc covered, multi-drawer bottom on great legs with bins and breadboard. the top piece is not the traditional, hoosier type thing making her ideal for bath or kitchen or garden.
precious times has a very impressive new addition. handsome in old, light, olive green and creme paint is a 2 piece midwest, stepback, county cupboard. beadboard doors top. bottom boasts 3 wide, deep drawers and a fabulous bin! all with old hardward.
then, hunt down the heart-stopping, zinc covered, very primitive possum belly table waiting for adoption at precious times in my front booth.
i will get pics on these. i promise. i will.

- the large SAN BERNARDINO MONUMENTAL COMPANY sign has been sold. sorry, it has a new family.
- the very large, mid-1800, 11 1/2 foot long, 6 board, all dovetailed grain bin has been relocated. the lid with it's massive hindges had to be removed before i could put it on sliders and muscle it out of the store. got help mounting her over the cab of my standard toyota pickup and away we went. approx 13 miles later and with every nerve in my body on alert (should she shift and fall not only would she be a goner but think of the damage to any vehicle in close proximity) we arrived. she is out of circulation. she will never be moved again - in my lifetime, anyway. my dining room is in love with her. all my christmas and easter stuff fill the bins. my boyfriend's grandmother's very chippy, peely, green and pink bench - which sat eons ago in front of her hardware store in a now abandoned iowa town - is perched on top. beautiful!!!
thanks!

i am slithering in to my blog.
taking a week off to go to the show, play with a friend, and perch at the coast in cambria really did set me back. had a hell of a time - even thought the show did not pan out - we took the wrong stuff. ah, hindsight - an evil little companion in life.
the "set me back" part is what i was getting to. what's that crazy saying? "you've got to pay the fiddler?? well it's been payback time alright . . .
all my store spaces where out of kilter and staler than week old bread! aside from cleaning, re-arranging and, yes, taking in NEW STUFF EVERYWHERE, i have acquired showcases in the front room at country roads antiques in orange!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they look fantastic. check them out. you can't miss them. 3rd aisle in the first building. if lost, follow the blue spray painted arrows on the floor to the restroom. the cases are on the left. lots of cool stuff. some of it from my personal home stash.
pictures? as promised and not provided, will be coming . . . . .
